Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18, "These signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
I've always thought...well that's all Christians....but tonight the Lord stopped me when I read this and said, "It's not all Christians....it's just the ones that have faith and believe I can do this through them! Many won't because they don't believe."
Demons are still real today and they can possess people and oppress Christians...they are spirits that have to be cast out.
Tongues are either a Christian's prayer language between them and God or someone who might have the Gift of Tongues in a corporate setting or on a mission trip.
The serpents and drinking deadly stuff is referring to anything (including a virus) that could come at you or hurt you or kill you but the Lord protects you because you believe he will and ask HIM and because you do, he gives you a testimony for him of the miracle he did in you! We can do this as a child of God that believes and walks with the Lord....like when the venomous snake bit the Apostle Paul and they expected him to die but it didn't affect him.
Laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover says if we believe and lay hands on those who are sick in faith, they WILL recover. He doesn't say might, he says WILL and he is not a liar. Jesus never said " no" to anyone that came to him and asked him to heal them. Sometimes the person asked themselves and other times it was an employer, family member, or friend who did the asking but all knew Jesus could heal and would heal.
I declare that I believe all of this that Jesus said!! I will walk in these things because HE said I could if I would believe and I do!!
Do you believe? What are you limiting God from doing in and through you because of your unbelief?
